Martin van Stigt Thans, the founder of NEWDirection, brings a wealth of experience in engineering, modular design, standardization, and advanced software tools such as SolidWorks PDM and CAD. His expertise is the result of countless late-night hours spent learning and mastering these tools after his regular workday. Martin’s journey into engineering and SolidWorks began through the mentorship of skilled colleagues and the many courses he diligently followed.
Starting with a programming background in C and BASIC at the age of seven, Martin has continuously expanded his skill set. Over the years, he has become proficient in integrating PDM into company processes, ensuring efficiency and precision. His dedication to this craft is evident in his ability to create custom add-ins for SolidWorks PDM and CAD, as well as bespoke software solutions tailored to specific business needs.
